A Much Bigger Splash

hen the gang at Lucey Dental got in touch with Toni Smith in January, it was clear that they had big plans for the Greystones painter.

Big, big plans.

About to extend their Meridian Point HQ, Conor and Lisa wanted something that brought the widescreen wonder of Greystones’ seafront into their wide open new space.

And it didn’t take long for Toni to see the bigger picture.

“It was a challenge for me, absolutely” says Ms Smith. “Given that it was 1.5 metres by 1 metre, I thought I might have needed a pair of wings to navigate my way round the canvas – but the riser on my wheelchair made it all possible.

“And super fun to do…”

So much so that Toni may have just found her latest modus operandi. “Large paintings might be my new thing! And given that my paintings are pretty much always Greystones, the bigger canvas seems like the perfect fit…”
