t was on yet another trek over Windgates Hill to go get her nails done in sunny Bray that Elaine Daly had a sudden revelation.

Namely that she owns an award-winning salon right in the heart of Greystones and, eh, there’s space for a top-of-the-range, oven-ready, Grade A nail bar.

“Not exactly sure why it took a decade to have that revelation,” Elaine laughs today, “but it didn’t take long after that to make it happen…”

With its official launch this afternoon as part of Up To My Eyes on Theatre Lane, Elaine and her soul sister, Mary, are quick to point out that there are quite a few people around here who make nail contact before they make eye contact.

“For those in the know, nails are incredibly important,” says Mary. “Almost as important as the eyes…

“Life is all about the small details,” nods Elaine, “and now we cover three of main things you can get into shape without exercise – eyebrows, eyelashes and nails…”
