aking effect from June 30th, Greystones Aircoach service is set to
return to its old hourly service.
Namely, at Hawkins Wood. Because they’re worth it.
These new additions come at a cost though, with the journeys taking longer, and increased fares.
before 8am and 1 hour and 41 minutes after. The new route will take 1 hour and 52 minutes off-peak Monday to Friday, but from 6.20am to 8pm, those journeys will take two hours, with morning and evening rush hour journeys taking 2 hours and 50 minutes. So, you know, take a book.

This is not an improvement, it will provide a slower and more expensive service and is not a sensible option for a family. Chronic failure to invest in decent public transport and to provide a fit for purpose rail link for Dublin Airport and now this means people will continue to use their cars.
Quicker and cheaper to take the Dart to Tara and then the Dublin Express coach from CHQ via the tunnel.
Oh goody – 4 extra stops to see, for only €3.50 extra
Catchy slogans aside they also need to provide advice such as ‘This is a near 2 hour journey (or longer!) taking in many exciting bus stops of Dublin, however we don’t provide toilets so recommend peeing in the gutter or mild dehydration before embarking.’
Nearly 2 hours (or more with delays) to travel 40km. They can’t even blame road traffic at 4am. Sums up public transport in this country. “Travel by bus – pay more and see less of friends and family” would be a good slogan..
