Gateaux For Gaza At Burnaby Park

he sun almost came out for the Greystones For Palestines charity bake sale at Burnaby Park this morning…

More importantly, there were plenty of big-hearted bakers shinging bright as tables were packed with some rather tasty homebaked goodies.

This morning was all about raising more funds for Gaza, say the organisers, whilst bringing the community together to support this vital, humanitarian cause.

Here’s a little background…

This get together will feature an array of baked goods, created with love and care by members of Greystones and Kilcoole. Participants are invited to join us in raising funds for Gaza Go Bragh and Uisce for Gaza, in our continued effort to help provide water, food, clothing and shelter to the Palestinians still suffering the violence of genocide.

Coordinator Fionna Saintraint said of the event: “We continue to demonstrate the power of ordinary people, banding together as a community in service of something greater than themselves. The extraordinary potential of neighbours turning up in solidarity with other humans, refusing to let the stripping away of their rights happen in silence. It seems so small, but if we all do something small, and we do it all together – that’s where real change comes from.”
