Being Loco Lands Wicklow Man In Court

e knew Kirk Loco was special when we had to block him back in October last year following a series of racist rants about immigrants.

And when he immediately used his girlfriend’s account to confront us about blocking him on the Guide’s social media, this wonderful line made us realise that our decision was a good one.

‘I know you fear my truthful manner, otherwise you wouldn’t block me, would you?’

This morning, Kirk Loco – or Terry Kenny as he’s known to his nearest and dearest – was in Bray District Court, charged with the creation and dissemination of false allegations on social media.

It was on June 21st, 2024 that Kirk posted claims about an ‘intoxicated immigrant of Trudder House’ apparently ‘exposing himself to 14 yr old girl’ on the no 133 bus to Newtown. He also posted a photograph of the man sleeping on the bus.

The girl’s sister later commented on Loco’s post, stating that the man in question had never approached the 14-year-old.

Which is why Garda Emma Jane Doyle arrested the 44-year-old Loco at his Rathnew home at 8.30am this morning, and took him to court.

The charge was read out as one of distributing or publishing a threatening or grossly offensive communication about an individual, known only as MM, with intent to cause harm.

Loco had a similar lapse of clarity when he posted at Dublin Airport about ‘150-200 men, straight off a plane, onto McEntee’s Coaches (The irony), and coming to a hotel or tent in a field near you, real soon’.

A few hours later, Dublin Airport commented on the post, ‘Hi Terry. For clarity, this is a group of EU nationals (from Slovakia) arriving into Ireland to work as seasonal workers on a turkey farm in the run up to Christmas. Busses were provided by their employer.’

Counsel for the defence, Ciara O’Brien BL, applied for legal aid, stating that Mr Loco was in receipt of regular payments of €250 a week. Judge David Kennedy ruled that Mr Loco had to produce a statement of means first.

Bail was granted, with Mr Loco due back before Bray District Court on December 8th, 2025.
