appening from Tuesday, May 12th to Sunday 24th, there’s feck all lined up in Wicklow for this year’s Biodiversity Week.

At least, that’s what it looks like if you take Wicklow County Council’s word for it.

In a press release issued today, they just have the three events with their name attached…

Life on the Wing – Swift Walk & Talk with Oran O’Sullivan

⦿ Thursday 21st May | 9am – 12pm | The Orchard Centre, Tinahely
Nurturing Nature – A Celebration of Women in Farming in partnership with Wicklow

⦿ Uplands Council and Wicklow IFA
Friday 22nd May | 7pm | Raheen Car Park, Bray Head
Plants on the Edge – Walk & Talk on the flora of Bray Head

Luckily, jumping to the official Biodiversity Week website throws up a few other options, including Lapwing Lookout and Tern Tales at Kilcoole Train Station on Friday 15th from 7pm to 9pm, Heart Of The Living Forest Biodiversity Walk at Ballardberg, Ashford on Saturday 16th 10am to 12pm, guided 12pm Kilmacurragh Gardens tours on Sunday 17th and 24th,  Bee Day at Knocksink Wood Nature Reserve on Wednesday 20th from 6pm to 7.30pm, Dusk Chorus Walk at Newcastle’s East Coast Nature Reserve on Wednesday 20th from 8pm to 9.30pm, Citizen Scanlon and his fellow eco warriors presenting The People’s Emergency Briefing at Greystones Library on Thursday 21st from 7pm to 8.30pm, and a special screening of the Catchment short film series at the Knocksink Wood Education Centre on Friday 22nd from 7pm to 9pm. Finally, there’s the ever-hopeful, Beckettesque Whale Watch Ireland on Bray Head, Saturday 23rd from 5pm to 7pm,
