Well, the young ‘uns certainly seem happy…
ot off being named the County Wicklow Dance School of the Year at
the Golden Dance Awards Ireland 2025, the Dancers Workshop Academy are now heading to the Dance World Cup Grand Finals.
Which is pretty much king of the dance floor competitions.
The Bray-based academy will have 57 dancers representing as part of Team
Ireland at this year’s big hoedown showdown starting July 13th, with Greystones’ own Elwood Sweeney getting to wear the captain’s hat.

With over 13,000 dancers expected from 60 countries, the great news for those local dancers who like a full night’s sleep in a
proper bed, the competition this year is being held in sunny Ireland.
So, jetlag won’t be playing havoc with those dancing feet.
Says Dancers Workshop Academy’s Lee Christie, “The DWA dancers will compete across jazz, contemporary, commercial, street and showstopper categories, taking their hard work, talent and team spirit onto an international stage.
