I think it would be fair to say that Greystones is having one spectacular autumn…

Pretty much every day, the sun has got his hat on, and the skies have been blue.

This afternoon though, for the first time in what feels like an age, the rain began.

And even that was beautiful.

Max and myself were down at the harbour, having just had a chat with the very rock’n’roll retired rector that is Edgar Swann, and just as the man of the cloth had warned us, the weather was beginning to turn.

Not that Max was all that bothered. His daily dip in the waves was about to get underway, and a little rain would only add to his armchair-christening fun later that afternoon.

As it turned out, the sun won this particular battle, but, for a moment there, being in the middle of a good day and a bad day, it was a blissfully blustery day…
