Church Cottage braces itself for a second floor…
s seems to happen far too often with the Wicklow Planning website, we
didn’t see any mention of the Church Cottage application until it was all done and decision made.
Still, given that the applicant here, Tack Packaging (a moveable feast, having bounced around different addresses in Kilcoole and Ashford over the past few years), had already gotten approval for 12 units on the same plot of Delgany land, it was hardly surprising that they would be successful again.
Filed on September 9th, their cunning mullet plan for Church Cottage reads…
The cottage itself is protected, which means that its facade and integrity will have to be maintained. The works will involve building a second, lower flower at the back of the cottage, as the land dips down into the glebe, alongside the Jacob’s Ladder path.
We have uploaded the plans and conditions for approval here, or you can check out the original application on the Wicklow Planning website here, searching for case number 2360268.
