The little fecker may have abandoned his good buddy Rob Lawless back here in the sticks, but it’s nonetheless great news that local boy Paul Dunne has qualified for the US Open.
Having endured a marathon qualifying round in Walton Heath in England, Dunne ended up in a seven-way tie for 12th place, five shots behind England’s Aaron Rai.

When Dunne and South African Thomas Aiken birdied the second play-off hole, their places in the US Open were sealed.
The Greystones lad is now headed to Winsonsin to join the field at Erin Hills on June 15th to 18th.
