Given how close GG is with master golfer Paul Dunne – we sat beside each other once in the Greystones Business Bureau! – we’re always heartened when good news befalls the boy.
Good news like his first tour title in July. And now, the Greystones lad being selected for Thomas Bjorn’s EurAsia Cup team.
Kick-ass.
Having shown Rory McIlroy how to win the British Masters this year, Dunne will now represent Europe as part of Bjorn’s 12-man team.
With wild card additions Paul Casey and Alexander Levy also on board, the team will be defending their title in Kuala Lumper on January 10th to 12th.
The full Europe EurAsia Cup team are Tommy Fleetwood (Eng), Tyrrell Hatton (Eng), Ross Risher (Eng), Matthew Fitzpatrick (Eng), Paul Dunne (Ire), Rafa Cabrera Bello (Spa), Bernd Wiesberger (Aut), Thomas Pieters (Bel), Alex Noren (Swe) and Henrik Stenson (Swe), along with wildcards Casey (Eng) and Levy (Fra).
In the meantime, we’ll be hanging around the Greystones Business Bureau, to try and bring you the latest from the young Dunne lad himself. That’s if, you know, he’ll speak to us this time.
