Heading up to Calary to talk to the great Albert Kerr this morning – we’ll have that post up later today – GG was confronted with a road block.
At least, we reckon it’s a road block.
Two signs, blocking half the road up from Kilmacanogue to Calary, both stating, FIRE BRIGADE INCIDENT AHEAD.
The smoke in the distance backed up the claim. But, there were cars aplenty emerging through the misty confusion.
And, after a few pauses and head scratches, the cars coming from Kilmacanogue started pushing on through too.
Followed by a clatter of cyclists.

And then a tourist coach. Or two.
All drove through the smoke, and the licking flames, with ne’er a fireman in sight.
The whole thing played out like an Irish disaster movie.

At least, we reckon it’s a road block.
The smoke in the distance backed up the claim. But, there were cars aplenty emerging through the misty confusion.
