Which is where those good people at Bray Area Partnership come in, having just announced some free conversation English classes for Greystones, Bray and Enniskerry.

Enrolment is now taking place for Bray Area Partnership’s Fáilte Isteach conversational English classes for people from new communities starting soon in Bray, Enniskerry and Greystones.
Classes are free and take place through friendly small café-style group conversations, facilitated by volunteer tutors. 
There are morning and evening classes in a range of different venues, as well as classes specifically for Ukrainians in the partnership’s Ukrainian Community Centre in Bray.
The project is also currently looking for more volunteer tutors with experience of teaching English 
as a second language.
Fáilte Isteach Bray & North Wicklow is part of a national Third Age Ireland initiative – the idea is that people volunteer their time to teach practical conversational English to people from other countries who live and work in their community. Improving their English helps students to participate more fully in society, take part in further education and gain employment.
The word Fáilte describes the spirit of the project – welcome to our community.
This work is resourced by the government’s Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP), which is co-funded by the Irish Government, through the Department of Rural and Community Development, and the European Social Fund Plus under the Employment, Inclusion, Skills and Training (EIST) Programme 2021-2027.
