It would be fair to say that it’s been quite a year for the Happy Pear twins, but, then again, just about every year of late has been quite something for the Flynn boys.
With three best-selling cookbooks, over 1m social media followers, Pearville filling shelves nationwide, sell-out shows, and queues out the door, the lads clearly don’t need to worry about being successful anymore.
They just have to figure out how best to maintain and nurture – and capitalise upon – that remarkable success.
Last year, their revenue was up 40%. This year, it’s going to be even higher.
Firmly resisting the obvious temptation to open up a chain of Happy Pear outlets around the country, Dave and Steve are concentrating instead on getting their product out there. Having conquered Ireland with relative ease, a deal has just been signed with the Waitrose chain of supermarkets in the UK, opening up a whole new, virgin market. A new, virgin market that’s already falling for the Flynnstones’ charms, the duo having just returned from hosting a glamping weekend in Dorset.
Add to that their fresh-out-of-the-oven cookbook Recipes For Happiness hitting the no.1 spot here, two new granola flavours (Dave’s Cocoa Crunch and Steve’s Dreamy Granola) hitting the market, Playstival, at the Airfield Estate in Dundrum on August 11th and 12th, and… well, just loads and loads of podcasts, blogs, media appearances, festival appearances, swimrises, and on and on…
