Dang it, we only found out about this year’s Burnaby Lawns Fun Day on the actual day, and so, didn’t manage to swing down ourselves this year.

Which is a shame, because the weather was perfect for a little BBQ and bouncy castle action – and arguably the great Greystones football matches of the year.

Yep, each year at this Greytones Family Resource Centre shindig, the local Burnaby Lawns residents take on the local gardaí, and this year, well, it was pretty close to a spankin’.

We’re talking nine goals for the men in blue and just three for the local leg ends.

Oooh, that’s got to hurt.

Thankfully, Des Doyle Butchers were on hand with plenty of comfort food for all involved, and Ciaran Hayden supplied those bouncy castles once again for the kids. Hurrah!
