Greystones Fire Brigade Say Thanks

The idea was to swing down this evening to the Greystones Fire Brigade station on Victoria Road and grab a picture of the eight hardy firemen who had spent the last four days battling flames up on Bray Head.

Only trouble was, the lads were more than a little shattered. After four days of battling flames up on Bray Head.

And so, tonight’s usual Monday evening drill was cancelled. And so was GG’s pic of the town’s hardy firemen.

Luckily, we were able to get a statement from the boys, a thank you to all the well-wishers, and bearers of gifts and dishes, who had helped them make it through a difficult weekend.

We’ll grab that pic another time. In the meantime, we’ll let the lads get some serious sleep. Reckon Thursday lunchtime would be the right time to wake ’em…
