Where does the time go…?

rowing old is, as they say, pretty darn wild – one minute you’re young and fun, the next you’re turning down the car stereo so you can see better.

A local gang who still like to keep it turned up to 11 is Greystones U3A.

Who are all about celebrating your Third Age. Every 2nd and 4th Thursday. At 10.30am.

Here’s the lowdown…

Having first launched on September 5th, 2019, Greystones U3A is a voluntary organisation specifically for people at that stage in life when you might have a bit more time on your hands than you know what to do with.

It’s also the time in life when you will have accumulated a great deal of erudition, expertise and wisdom. The U3A is an opportunity to share your knowledge and to learn from the wisdom of others, all in a relaxed and informal setting.

Our aim is to encourage lifelong learning, sharing skills, whilst meeting new people and having more than a bit of fun along the way.

The social aspect of all U3A groups is very important, especially following retirement, relocation or bereavement. We want to provide an opportunity to enjoy ourselves in the company of friends, old and new, while still flexing our learning muscles. As they used to say in The La Touche Swingers Club, singles, couples and groups are all welcome, and you are free to participate as much or as little as you wish.

Greystones U3A will meet at 10.30am on the 2nd and 4th Thursday in The Delgany Golf Club, when we host an informative talk from a wide range of topics, and get a chance to chat over a cup of tea or coffee.
