ep, make no mishtake, they’re a feisty, fiery and fiercely independent bunch, the Greystones Active Retirement Association.

And they’re plainly still full of a certain lust for life if their busy 2023 timetable is anything to go by.

Keeping busy is the name of the game, – every Monday, it’s chair yoga from 1.15pm to 2pm and art from 2.30pm to 4.30pm; short mat bowls on Tuesdays from 10.45am to 12.45pm and bingo on Thursdays from 2.30pm to 4.15pm, all at Kilian House Family Centre. Activities take a break from the end of June to the beginning of September each year.

There’s also the monthly get together coffee mornings, on the last Fridays, 10.30am, again at Kilian House.

Four night/five day break at the Clonakilty Park Hotel
Date: 12th June (Monday) returning on Friday 16th. Cost: €435 per person sharing (€15 single supplement subject to max. of 8 available).
In the heart of Clonakilty, this luxury hotel has a leisure centre with an indoor pool, sauna and steam room. There is a modern restaurant and bar and the beautiful Irish coastline is just 10 minutes away. Each spacious room at the Clonakilty Park Hotel & Leisure Centre has a flat-screen TV/DVD player, a mini fridge and ironing facilities. Private bathrooms all include a hairdryer.

Daily excursions will be arranged and are included for anyone who would like to participate. There are a lot of interesting and scenic options to visit in the area. Extras would only be lunch/snacks or entrance fees if an entrance fee applies to a specific excursion. Evening entertainment is available in the hotel each night. To confirm bookings with hotel we will need to book numbers as soon as possible. Minimum numbers are required for this holiday break to go ahead.
