Kathleen Celebrates 50 Years In Ireland

he bould Kathleen Kelleher must be feeling a little Oscar-dizzy these days, after her Lifetime Achievement award from the Fianna Fáil heavies and now a great big family celebration.

The family shindig marked 50 years since the Boston native first landed on our green and pleasant land.

Hard to believe it’s been 50 years. Feels a lot, lot longer to us.

We covered a lot of Kathleen’s invaluable work here in the community since making her way across land to Greystones in 1973, and now it was the turn of her children and grandchildren to celebrate all those years.

And what better way to celebrate five decades of service to the town than with a slap-up dinner at Greystones’ finest inn, The Glenview Hotel. Situated just a smidgen beyond The Rugby Club.

Those attending the nosh-up and the post-dessert Easter egg hunt were Ewan Macadam, Rebecca Keleher, Roisin Kelly, Kathleen Macadam, Kate Macadam, Colette Kelleher, Helena Kelleher, Domhnall Kelly, Benjamin Kelleher, Andrew Macadam, Fin Kelleher, John Kelly, Colette Hartney and Daniel Kelleher.

Congrats to Kathleen on such a major milestone. And we hope those kids let you find at least one chocolate egg.
