Kelly Drains Hit Another Blockage

aving been refused planning permission to install washing facilities at their Drummin Lane site, Kelly Drains Maintenance Services Ltd have had their appeal turned down.

An Bord Pleanála have upheld a refusal to turn the controversial storage yard into a commercial vehicular depot.

The fact that the new Kelly Drains plant has had the locals up in arms ever since the company fenced off access to an ancient mass path has resulted in a long and sometimes fractious battle.

Thankfully, common sense seems to have prevailed, yet again. Here’s hoping the message sticks to the Kelly’s wall this time.
