As with just about every truly great idea, the Kilcoole Community Centre took more than a little work, and a smidgen of luck, to come together.
Today, it’s a big part of the town, with every Tom, Pat & Sally benefiting from a space that allows them to come together and forge yet another new club, another new skill.
As Luisne move across the road to the centre, we’re finally getting around to posting our recent tour with local councillor-about-town Tom Fortune, to find out a little more about the history of the building, and just how the community centre came into being.
Luckily, as we rambled around the building, we bumped into a few people who have helped make the Kilcoole Community Centre such a success.
Being us, and being Tom, the guided tour got a little rambly, and a little long, but, hey, that just proves that we’re just simple country folk at heart around here. Unafraid to tell it like it is without a care in the world about full stops or an actual point…
