or most of us mere mortal, our dream job in this world are destined to remain just that.

A dream.

For Newcastle’s Leo Doyle though, his dream job has just come through, the enterprising young 10-year-old having been selected by ALDI to be an official Easter Egg Taster.

Which should make the school break just fly by.

“I am so excited to have been chosen,” says the Doyle lad. “ALDI’s chocolate is my absolute favourite, and I cannot wait to try it all with my family this Easter!”

Leo will be joining Tipperary’s Amy Reynolds and Galway’s Michelle Casserly, these three Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officers helping determine ALDI’s 2025 Easter selection.

Applications for the role flooded in from every corner of the country, with each applicant eager to showcase their passion for all things chocolate and confectionery.

Ultimately, Leo’s knowledge and passion for sweet treats earned himself the coveted title. The lucky feck.
