She’s one of the sunniest people in Greystones, and clearly, one of the most kindhearted.
Sure, she went and married Declan Cox.
Part of the mighty Hackett clan, Suzanne has always been part of the town, breaking hearts and now mending souls, working for Bray’s Open Door, the centre that brings dignity and fun back into the lives of adults with physical disabilities.
Not that Suzanne doesn’t have enough to be doing at home. With, what, 27 kids and one quite possibly certifiable sister, it’s amazing that Suzanne ever has the time to sit outside Caffé Delle Stelle and tease the hell out of poor Tomasso.
Somehow though, being the trooper that she is, Suzanne does find the time. And she does tease the hell out of the old grouch, pretty much every day. And he loves it.
So, here’s to you, Suzanne. Always ready to take you down, to a place by the river. Or so I’ve heard.
Lots more My Greystones goodies here. And you can check out the art of Suzanne’s mad sister, Dei, here. And the lovely garden of her beautiful mother, Mary, here.
