It was a night when just about everyone with any kind of camera was watching the skies…
Yep, Monday night was Supermoon night, and that meant, bejiggers, with the right shot, in the right light, you might just win the internet for the night.
Truth be told, unless you had a pretty good camera and an even better eye, there was always a good chance that your photograph would merely look like a marshmallow that had fallen down a well.
As Ruth Spurling demonstrated to beautifully [left].
The perfect shot we were looking for had to be full frontal. And clear. And beautiful.
Thankfully, there were a few of those, but when it came to picking the finest Supermoon shot that this little neck of the world produced, in the end, we had to settle on two.
The above shot – and the first below – are from Kilcoole’s finest, Chris Dobson, whilst the remarkable cover shot, of a plane just passing over the face of that Supermoon, belongs to Susan Brambell, aka The Word Bird.
Nice work, kids!
This just in – jump to the bottom to see our beloved Brian Keeley’s entry for Tuesday’s moonrise. Holy Feckin’ Feck.
