On hand to present the winners with not only their framed Splash Of Colour certs

Gordon & the gang
ercifully, the sun came out, and with the week’s rain taking a well-earned break, so did the
fun as we gathered the four winners of our Splash of Colour competition together.
Meeting up on Theatre Lane, by that inspiring mural by artist in residence Irina Kuksova, it was great to see such spirited kids being recognised for their wonderful paintings.
Every single one of our Splash Of Colour entrants – which was based around the theme of fish – were unique, and all proved equally inspiring and joyful. Just goes to show just how many talented kids we have in this arty little town of ours.
In the end, when all the votes were counted up, it was Jack Finnegan, Lily Bellhouse, Kim Colgan and Amber Nic Giolla Chainnigh who won our inaugural kids art competition. And deserving winners they are too.
On hand to present the winners with not only their framed Splash Of Colour certs
but also make sure they got their cool prizes was Gordon O’Neill from goldfish.ie, the Greystones telecommunications wizards who so generously provided such goodies as an annual family pass to Tayto Park, a €150 one-for-all voucher and two family cinema passes to the kids today.
So, well done to Jack, Kim, Amber and Lily – your wonderful work will no doubt inspire many more kids create their own little masterpieces when we run our second Splash Of Colour competition this coming summer.
To see just how magic, go check out all of this year’s entries here.
