If there’s one thing you’re going to have to be sure of when attempted a 4-day, 1,200-mile journey is that your mode of transport is both reliable and comfortable.
Especially when those travelling don’t quite register on the small and petite side.
So, when Rob Thomas, Jonathan Hoblyn and Iain Fisher head out together on August 15th to take part in the annual Two Ball Banger Rally – the only European road trip where, they like to boast, all vehicles are welcome.
Even shitty, maroon-coloured, clapped-out Corsas.
It’s all for a good cause, of course, Rob, Jonathan and Iain squeezing into this tiny hunk of junk for four gear-grinding, head-bumping, knee-pressing days to raise money for Men’s Cancer Alliance.
So, whilst the rest of us are basking in the finest summer Greystones has had in, oh, yonks, these three buddies will be putting their friendship under enormous strain – and arse pain – for a very good cause. So, spare a thought for their sacrifice, and a few shekels for their cause, right here.
