There’s A Guy Eats Down At Three Q’s, Swears He’s Elvis

here are many who believe that, on Tuesday, August 16th, 1977, Elvis Aaron Presley died at his Memphis home, Graceland.

There are others who would argue that the undisputed King of Rock’n’ Roll never died, and that he is, in fact, still walking amongst us.

The fact that Elvis and Lives share the same letters makes that particular myth ever more enduring.

Well, today, in sunny Greystones, that myth became a reality, when Elvis was spotted at The Three Q’s, chomping down on – yep! – a dirty, great big burger.

“They do the best burgers in all of Ireland right here,” said The King as we pulled up a chair. “Maybe even the world. Ooh, and they do a crackin’ breakfast too…”

We’ve known of this particular Elvis – who goes under the name of Alan Adamson, on his plainly falsified birth cert – for decades, spotting him outside a takeaway in Bray, a chipper in Newtown, and assorted other beauty spots around these parts. And we’ve long wanted to sit down and have a talk with the great man himself.

So, today was something of a rock’n’roll dream come true, as we managed to talk to the most beautiful man on the planet – and, when it comes to popular culture, undoubtedly the most important man ever to do that axis-shifting pelvic thrust…
