I think this is your own personal battle with a group of youths but through the platform of your website you are able to blow it far out of proportion and become “judge and jury”. Most journalists get their facts together before they put something out to the public and through 5 or 6 photos make our community look like “ the Bronx”. It’s easy to pick one or two young lads out of a bunch and start naming and shaming. Especially for a man of your intelligence and with a online magazine to do so. Hope you resolve your troubles:) it’s back to reading the Bray people for me like those before me…..

I’m very proud to pay tax in this country when the likes of “Paul byrne” can live in a 3 bedroom council house in a housing crisis alone with his dog, but yet run down and tarnish the estate in which he lives.. fair play to you and the Greystones guide for all the great publicity you give to the absolute amazing people who live in kindlestown Park, Kenmare heights and grattan pk. Oh and Burnaby lawns. Some of the best social housing projects and the best examples of council homes ever built. It’s just so unfortunate a man of your caliber has to live amongst “the great unwashed”. Did RTE and the Likes of these company’s not provide a decent enough salary for you to live amongst your own kind? Why don’t you move to the Burnaby? 99 % of people down there are arseholes just like yourself! But in kindlestown there’s only 1% arsehole 99% hard working decent people. The type of person from the likes of all the other beautiful estates in our town that may decide to carry out their act of insurance fraud in a council estate? You have obviously decided all that for yourself. But seriously Paul, these youths might represent.0.1% of the people that live in the “the park”and the rest are from other estates in this perfect town. Tell the likes of the parents in Redford pk, delgany wood, Charlesland,hillside, heatherview, sea green, and “waverly” wit all their wayward confused teenagers to hang out somewhere other than our amazing pine trees in kindlestown pk. I didn’t say all these guys were from Kindlestown or Kenmare – I merely pointed out where they hang out. And cause trouble.
The idea that, just because I live in an estate, I shouldn’t write about anything bad that happens in that estate, is just dumb. If anyone writes in and tells us of hassle they’re getting at the harbour, in Applewood, anywhere, we’ll check it out.
Have a read over your diatribe again. You’ve got quite a few hang-ups you might want to think through. Especially when it comes to class.
Pretty much 99% of what the Guide covers is positive, from Greystones Cancer Support fundraisers to Family Fun Days, from the South Beach Playground to Christmas Dinner for the homeless in Bochelli’s.
And as for Kindlestown, I’ve lived here for the last 25 years, and love it, deeply. That’s why anyone acting the cunt here is a concern. Just as it would be anywhere around these parts. Even the posh estates that seem to threaten you so much.
So, go try and do something good for the community yourself, and see how you get on. And try to enjoy it too. Even if you have to deal with people from other estates.
