The fact that Stephen and Dave are also bringing fire to Kilcoole will no doubt see the Flynn twins
These and other less weighty questions (such as, isn’t Pearville just a giant vegan slaughterhouse?) were preying on GG’s mind as we took a guided tour of this mighty work-in-progress before talking to the boys afterwards.

In a reflective mood…
aving brought joy, happiness, healthy food and lots and lots of yummy tourists to Greystones, those fun-loving and super-giving Happy Pear twins are now spreading their
wings of love.
By bringing employment, empowerment and electricity to our neighbours, Kilcoole, setting up their swanky new Pearville operation there.
The fact that Stephen and Dave are also bringing fire to Kilcoole will no doubt see the Flynn twins
being heralded as gods by the wide-eyed natives before the month is out.
Yep, it’s all systems pretty much go over in Pearville – which is just as well, given that the Happy Pear brand is about to take another giant leap forward this summer, thanks to the June arrival of their second cookbook, The World Of The Happy Pear – the follow-up to 2014’s The Happy Pear Cookbook, Ireland’s best-selling cookbook in both 2014 and 2015. Penguin are planning to hit the UK market hard with this second book, and it’s highly likely that, by the time Santa swings by, the boys will have broken a few more book sales records.
So, it’s hardly surprising that the Flynn twins have had to expand to meet that growing demand. But, how goes it in Pearville? And where goes it? Oh, and will the Flynn twins – along with the real brains behind the new operation, younger brother Daragh – be able to maintain their freewheelin’ approach to life, livelihood and lunch, or will the big wheels of success turn The Happy Pear into just another greenwashed corporate brand?
