The Writing’s On The Wall For Floyd

There will be Irish flags aplenty unfurled over the weekend for what has become one of the most anticipated fights in years, but, some local wag has decided to go one step further.

Sitting pretty in the shadow of the Sugar Loaf is Kilmacanogue’s most famous billboard, a wall that has, over the years, provided a voice for the oppressed and, well, the smartarses.

And right now, with Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather due to get into a Las Vegas ring in the early hours of Sunday morning, it’s the latter who has managed to climb that hill with their buckets of pain and get the writing on the wall once more.

Unsurprisingly, these local wags painted their message in the middle of the night to show their support for the Dublin fighter. By, well, letting the American fighter know that they’re no fan of his.

Just in case Floyd, or any member of his family, just happen to be driving along the N11 before the big fight 7,944 miles away.

To be fair, the writing on the 10-foot wall is a direct quote from McGregor. So, there’s a very, very good chance that the Irish champ heartily approves this message.
