Three Arrests In Harris Home Protests

ollowing the second protest outside Taoiseach Simon Harris’ home in two months, An Garda Siochána have issued the following press release…

Gardaí in the Wexford-Wicklow Division supported by the Special Detective Unit have arrested three males, for alleged offences contrary to Non-Fatal Offences against the Person Act, this morning (Thursday 20th June 2024) as part of ongoing investigations into the alleged harassment of an elected official.

The males, two of whom are aged in their 40s and one in his 30s, are currently detained at Garda Stations in County Wicklow under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

An Garda Síochána has no further comment at this time.

By 4.30pm, the Garda Press Office issued a statement that the men had been released without being charged and that a file was being prepared for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

There was a short protest outside Harris’ Delgany home on Friday, June 14th, and a larger one on May 2nd, both largely highlighting immigration in Ireland.
