or one night only, The Whale theatre in Greystones was transformed into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft & Wizardry, as all the town’s most magical kids swung by on their broomstick.
The occasion was a rare big-screen outing for the very first Harry Potter outing, and by the crackle in the air, you’d swear the boy wizard himself was present.
It also happened to be the 13th birthday party for the groovy Ruth Ferns, and she brought along a mighty coven of her friends. Who said they were willing to mingle with the muggles for the night, given that it was a special occasion.
With plans to screen each of the Potter outings each month over the coming eight months, the full house tonight was enthralled from the opening pre-credits, as the young Potter baby was delivered to 4 Privet Drive, home to the dastardly, dreaded and utterly dreadful Dursley family.
Thankfully, Harry was soon on his way to Hogwarts, and far away from Dudley and co, and then the magical adventure truly began…
