From the mighty Friends Of The Cliff Walk cutting through four years
Talking of people who make this town a better place to live, we’re down at the offices of Schnittger Bourne on La Touche Place, Steven, Laura and co quietly contributing to and sponsoring events all over the town.

Yvonne with her just award… THURS6MAR25
ith the town in something of a slumber of late – maybe it’s a long, long lockdown
hangover, maybe it’s just a town becoming too big to feel connected – it’s great to see that there are those in Greystones who still believe in community spirit.

of inaction and the always-reliable Greystones Cancer Support (featuring the effervescent Eileen Morris), from the always-busy Greystones Tidy Towns to the Harris lad leading the way or Tracy Holmes offering up some open-hearted redemption, there are plenty of good souls going above and beyond out there.
And this year, the one that everyone agreed deserved a little tender loving recognition for their sterling work in bringing the town together again and again is Yvonne O’Neill.
The smiling face of the notorious Greystones Town Team, Yvonne has been instrumental in everything from the Christmas Lights party to our St Patrick’s Day parade, from family fun days down in Burnaby Park to multi-cultural love-ins down in, yep, Burnaby Park.
It goes without saying that a really good party takes a lot of planning. And a very sunny disposition.
Which is why Yvonne O’Neill is indeed a worthy winner of the year’s biggest and downright shiniest award.
