A Bug’s Life

Hey, who doesn’t love our hairy, furry, dung-eating, spider-beating little friends in the bug world…?

There was certainly a lot of love for them on display at Rathdown Park this morning, when the Greystones Tidy Town gang unveiled their Bugs Green.

Pretty sure I went to school with him. Or was that Bugsy Malone…?

Boasting a series of hotels, and plenty of space for the little critters to roam, munch and multiply, it was all done with some cunning help from the kids from St Kevin’s 5th class, the Greystones Men’s Shed and the mighty Lynne Reece Loftus.

Officially opened by Greystones’ Cathaoirleach, Derek Mitchell, the Bugs Green is now open for viewing, cooing but strictly no chewing.
