A Shot In The Dark

As alarm calls go, a loud, ringing bang in the middle of the night wouldn’t be high on anyone’s list of favourites.

So, naturally, there was a degree of concern last night when what sounded suspiciously like a gunshot rang out across Kindlestown Park just after 1am.

The dogs started barking. The lights went on. Quite a few expletives were exclaimed.

And then, another loud bang.

Followed by, yep, another.

A quick check with the boys in blue this morning drew a blank, suggesting, thankfully, that it was most likely just wacky kids with fireworks.

In early July.

Then again, maybe it was just a bad curry. Apparently, Gandhi’s Revenge is a real ring of fire dish.

Man, we really, really hope none of those involved hurt themselves. In any way. Wouldn’t want them to have a difficult sleep tonight…
