t was pretty obvious from day one who was going to win Greystones’
Yummiest Takeaway 2024…
Yep, sitting pretty down at The Boat Yard, Yellov has a huge amount of fans in this town. And deservedly so.
And to think that this all started with an idea drawn on a napkin in The Beach House. Having worked in the kitchen of The Happy Pear for two years, Didem began to realise that her passion for food needed an outlet all of its own. And inspiration
wasn’t hard to find, her father, Süleyman Köse, having run a tiny café alongside his wife, Dilek, in their native Istanbul for 15 years.
“Growing up in Istanbul, I was steeped in a rich food culture, and I wanted to capture the tastes and smells of those streets when it came to going out on my own.”
Which may explain the 5-star review in The Irish Times in July. And why the groovy readers of The Greystones Guide voted in such numbers.
