t may have proven a miserable year in many other parts of the world, but 2016 was pretty darn good to Greystones.

For the most part.

If you had a tough year, here’s hoping luck and love shines that little bit brighter for you in 2017. If you had lots of luck and love over the past 12 months, hey, long may it continue. You jammy swine.

Suffice to say, whoever you are, however you are, and wherever you are, be good to yourself, and to others.

With one or two obvious exceptions, of course.

As the town gets ready to wave 2016 goodbye and say hello to 2017, we took a walk from Christmas tree to Christmas tree, from the mad 6.30pm bustle of the train station to the peace and quiet of the harbour.

Just to make sure that Greystones is stepping into 2017 still the most beautiful town on the planet…
