Sure, the craic was mighty over at the Parkview Hotel on Sunday as the Greystones Cancer Support gang had their annual Christmas Dinner.
It’s been another year of sterling work by Kathleen and co, with many a family benefiting greatly from GCS’s years of experience when it comes to one of life’s most daunting challenges.
That crazy little feck called cancer.
Such battles remind us to appreciate each day, and to make the most of our time here. Which is just what Greystones Cancer Support does, of course.
Always good to see good people have a good time. Gets you right in the feelgoods.
The big day also saw the release of the gang’s Greystones Christmas cards, which features some stunning old images of the town enjoying particularly white Christmases – thanks to the sterling camera work of Luke McGuinness and Una Campbell. Available now at GCS HQ.
Also in attendance on Sunday was another man who knows all about being in the moment – and, more importantly, capturing it forever; the great John McGowan, GG’s #1 roving photographer…
You can view – and download in hi-res – over 100 John McGowan shots from the big day here.
