Nestled in the foothills of the Wicklow mountains, K2Alpacas go about their daily business with their quirky, inquisitve camelids.

What do they do with these wonderful alpacas? Each day is different, but you will often find them strolling across their farm just outside Newtown Mount Kennedy, and you can join them with a 2-hour Trek Experience. Witness their individual personalities and moods, and their joy at heading out for a walk. And what better way to finish your walk than with a glass of bubbly Prosecco or juice?

Children are catered for in the Kids Alpaca Experience area where you have 30 minutes with free-roaming alpacas. They will come up to you for a feed and are pretty partial to posing for photos. Watch out for Ducky, who is super friendly – he demands attention. You will finish off with a visit to our all-things-alpaca Farm Shop. Coming soon is a Fairy Walk for the little and not-so-little ones.

Alpaca Therapeutic sessions are a great way to de-stress and ground yourself. Ideal for adults and children with special needs, with those with autism responding particularly well.

The alpacas have a 6th sense that is way better than ours.

K2Alpacas visit care homes and Montessori schools, and always prove a big hit with both the old and the young.

Alpacas love Hen parties and weddings too, and will wear a tux and a veil to your big day. They also have a knack of getting everyone at corporate days and private parties excited and delighted. Our alpacas
are great for photo opportunities and to break the ice with the guests.

All the above might seem a lot, but like most Irish hippies in the 1970s, the alpacas do not work more than 3 days per week. We have 90 alpacas here, which are rotated and minded at all these
activities and events. Their welfare and wellbeing always coming first. Joe says quite simply if the alpacas enjoy it, everyone will enjoy it. They’re at the centre of every day here.
