f you’re planning to hit The Cliff Walk or head up to the Octagon soon, be very, very wary.

For every June 21st is Naked Hiking Day, an unofficial excuse for naturists to frighten woodland creatures and prudes.

It’s an annual event that is, fittingly enough, complete arse, but, given just how many naturists and Americans are roaming around unsupervised these days, you never can be too careful about what you might find in the woods. 

It’s a surprisingly full line-up for 2026, with a Summer Solstice weekend including that hike today, Saturday 20th, from 11am to 5pm today, starting at The Bog Meadow in Enniskerry, plus noon meetups at Corballis Beach, Caliso Bay Beach, Trawalua Beach and Pheasant Lane, whilst the Emerald Isle Naturist Group have sadly cancelled their evening shenanigans.
