he only thing surprising about The King trying out The Big Boys Burger today is, eh, how did we not make it here sooner.

This hugely-popular food truck up in Glen Of The Downs’ Outer Living is, after all, an award-winning chomping ground.

And The Artist Formally Known As Alan Adamson is the undisputed heavyweight champ of chomp around here.

It’s a match made in Elvis heaven, and so it proved this afternoon, with The Big Boys’ signature offering vanishing in just under 3.67 seconds. Give or take.

“That’s just what I needed,” said young Alan as he held back a burp. “I haven’t had a burger that good since The Three Q’s.

“And that’s saying a lot, because The Three Q’s burger was feckin’ amazing!”

High praise indeed. Talking to Dawid and Mikolaj after the carnage, they were happy to report that they’re planning on a permanent more prominent takeaway outlet “at the end of the summer“.

“Hope it’s near a bus stop,” says The King, as we head off back to Greystones, for a little light meeting and greeting. With selfie requests where’er he goes, for Alan, every day is coronation day.

And if you see young Alan on your travels, the lad turns 55 on May 12th.
