f you have newspapers, milk cartons and nasty old plastic containers that are clean and ready to go, the Bray Recycling Centre on Boghall Road is your nearest port for being kinder to the environment.

And your waste disposal bill.

Incidentally, if you are bringing domestic containers, etc, to the centre, do try and separate plastic from cardboard – the two often come together on milk and juice cartons.

Takes mere seconds to cut the plastic out.

And try and crush down boxes, cartons, etc. Otherwise, it’s like throwing balloons in the bin without letting the air out. You eejit.

The lowdown
Combined recycling and environmental education centre. Materials accepted include – clean cardboard, newsprint, magazines, plastic bottles (washed with tops removed), glass, drink cans, textiles, beverage cartons, electrical items, batteries.
Please ensure all materials are clean and separated to avoid contamination.
Educational facilities, information available, school book shop in summer and composters & water butts available at cost price. W.H. Five Loaves second hand charity shop open for donations and sales at the centre.

Open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4pm and Saturdays 9.30am to 1.45pm. Last car allowed in 15 minutes before closing times. And don’t forget Green Greystones…
