Happening on Sunday, March 24th, the fundraiser is all about raising awareness of men’s mental health.
So, naturally, it involves saunas, soul-searching, stories and dancing like a loon.
And just so you’re prepared, there may be some hugs too.
Here’s the lowdown…
The Journey To The Other Side is the creation of Brendan Hurson and Conor Brown, both Tiglin graduates and now working with the Wicklow-based rehabilitation charity.
With more than a little help from Fad Saoil Saunas’ Steve Crosbie and Dance Greystones’ Vicki Andreanska, plus wellness expert Shelley Askins, this one-day event aims to raise awareness about men’s mental health. We will show you that on the other side of addiction is recovery. That on the other side of desperation is hope. That the other side of fear is love.
On Sunday, March 24th, we will start in Clontarf Dublin at Fad Saoil, with Conor talking about his life living near the town, in Edenmore and how addiction nearly killed him, and how he got to be where he is now.
The duo will then drive to a second Fad Saoil, in Salthill, Galway, Brendan’s hometown, where he will talk about how his life was affected by addiction and what growing up in Salthill was like.
