e’re beginning to think that the spirit of Something Nice lives on in their old Greystones HQ as Brew With A View once again carry their awards torch on.

It was Something Nice that launched our Póg Mo Cone competition back in 2017, going on to win the coveted Best Ice Cream title three years in a row.

And now, after a diversion to Spendlove’s down by the harbour, the new occupants of No.3 La Touche Place have just won their second Póg Mo Cone heavyweight title.

“It does feel like fate,” says Renato when we presented Brew With A View with their framed award this afternoon. “Then again, we do have some very, very, very yummy ice cream here…”

And some very, very, very loyal customers and friends who bombarded this year’s competition with votes once again.

Having made the smart move from parking their van up on Bray Head to a more permanent home here in Greystones back in December 2022, Brew With A View has survived and thrived by adding new goodies to their menu all the time, from weekend wood fired pizzas to ice cream for dogs, from an Aladdin’s Cave of local arts and crafts to their award-winning gelato.

“We’re always on the lookout for anything that gives us a thrill,” says Renato. “We have a magic little spot here, and we just want to keep filling it with magic things.

“And yummy food, of course…”
