his year’s vote for Greystones’ finest ice cream was a one-horse race for the first half of the month-long vote.

All Rise…

And then, late in the game, a shiny new contender came trotting over the hill.

And by the end of the count, this upstart startup had romped home with flying colours, and a heck of a lot of votes.

Yep, pipping the much-loved Rise At The Cove to the post for the Póg Mo Cone 2023 title, Brew With A View clearly have a lot of fans and followers in Greystones.

“It helps when you come from a big family too,” laughs Chloe, as she and partner Renato look over their framed award. “The call went out to cousins, second-cousins and beyond…”

“What really got us though is, despite the fact that we’ve been here for less than a year, lots of our customers jumped on board too,” says Renato. “They knew the vote is just a bit of fun, reminding everyone in the town what’s right on their doorstep, but people really rallied behind us on this one.

“Then again, our gelato is pretty amazing…”
