Camile Win Best Vegan Takeaway

t’s a fine addition to our foodie town, and now Camile Thai has gone and bagged itself Best Vegan takeaway at the Just East National Takeaway Awards.

The Greystones outlet wasn’t the only winner for the Camile chain, with Limerick picking up Best Takeaway for Munster and Best Vegetarian, whilst their Phibsborough branch bagged Best Sustainability.

Held at the Twenty Two venue last night in Dublin, the Just Eat National Takeaway Awards saw 17,000 people voting over the past few weeks for their favourite nosebags around the country. Unsurprisingly, the favourite takeaway dish nationally was, once again, the spice bag, followed closely behind by the burrito, chicken korma, fish and chips and pepperoni pizza.

To mark the win, and the last day of Veganuary, all vegan dishes – both takeaway and eat-in – at Camile in Greystones will be just €5.99 for the day on Thursday, January 30th. Hooray!

In amidst such acclaimed restaurant chains as Saba, Shapla Indian and Wagamama there was a surprise win in the Best Breakfast category for McDonald’s in Swords.
