Happy days over at Coláiste Chraobh Abhann, with not one but two wins at this year’s Wicklow Student Entrepreneurs Awards.
With over 1,100 students from secondary schools taking part in the programme since last September, the final showdown was due to take place in Rathnew’s Wicklow County Campus on March 26th.
But then, you know, we were all sent to our rooms by Mother Nature.
So, instead, the organisers have come up with their list of winners by judging the business reports and posters submitted online.
And although the wonderful kids at the likes of Coláiste Bhride in Carnew, Avondale Community College and St Mary’s College in Arklow all deserve to be feted and celebrated, the only winners that truly matter all hailed from Kilcoole’s CCA.
So, in the Junior Category, take a bow Hugh Donohue and Conor McConnell, for their Fore Coats entry, and in the Senior Category, big hurrahs for Jeremiah Scott and Sean Lundy, for their CleanSole creation.
Given that the final was held online, we were informed that no pictures of the glorious winners were available. So, we’ll just to imagine their huge grins.
