Delgany Coffee Roaster Gives Back

n independent coffee roaster in Delgany has come up with a sweet way of supporting your favourite but shuttered café right now.

Under the banner Our Shop Is Their Shop, Roasted Brown are asking online customers to nominate a café of their choice and then processes the sale on their behalf. Nice.

Seeing a dramatic 1,400% increase in its online sales in March, the Delgany coffee roaster is determined to help those left without customers during the Covid-19 lockdown. Locally, they supply Eleven Deli and Bak’d At Arthur’s.

“Our sales virtually stopped overnight as many of the businesses we supply closed,” founder Ferg Brown told Breaking News. “Like many small businesses around the country, we had to adapt our business model quickly to survive and continue to make sales. We also felt strongly that we needed to do something to support our customers, which are small businesses around Ireland.”
