ot on the heels of Monday’s open meeting addressing the new planning applications for Delgany’s Carmelite grounds, another call to arms.

Or, to be more precise, another call to send in objections.

With the approved Strategic Housing Development for 230 houses still being fought with a Judicial Review, the Delgany JR crew are now having to battle two fresh planning applications. Namely, 90 dwellings on the Carmelite monastery site (59 houses; 40 apartments in four 3-storey blocks) and 46 dwellings on the Bellevue Hill site (44 houses and 12 apartments in a 3-storey block).

The applications can be viewed on the Wicklow Planning site here, the Carmelite reference number being 21959 and the Bellevue reference #21960.

Objections cost €20 each, and should be submitted by September 7th. Separate submissions are required for each planning application, with further information on how to object explained here. The decision on both applications is due on Tuesday, September 28th, with that decision is open to appeal to An Bord Pleanala by the applicant or by anyone who makes a submission.
