iven the rise of online shopping, retail rates and what feels like an ever-looming recession, you have to admire any business about to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Greystones’ longstanding and much-loved shoe shop first began keeping Greystones kids and teenagers on their feet way back in March 2013.

And given the fact that they have sold thousands upon thousands of shoes over the years, well, it should have been obvious from the start that these guys are sole survivors.

Founded by Paul Callaghan, Trendy Toes has thrived by having friendly, helpful staff, and by always stocking the big brands – such as (deep breath) Geox, Superfit, Pablosky, Garvalin, Dubarry, Ricosta, Lelli-Kelly, Biomechanics, La Prada, Start-Rite and Demar – alongside a wide range ballet and Irish dance wear.

All of which may explain why they’ve been around now for 10 years.

To mark the big anniversary, this Friday and Saturday there are all sorts of birthday shenanigans planned, including a chance to win a child’s Wild Waves robe alongside one of 10 free pairs of shoes.

And that’s not all. In keeping with the 10 theme, there will be a wall of shows at just €10, whilst the rest of Trendy Shoe’s footwear will be reduced by 10%.
